| Descripción: Iberian celebring. Extraordinary terracotta representing a character standing, covered with a cloak and a gown with complex folds, holding mitra and rodetes over his ears, who touches softly the medallion which hangs from his chest. The sex is undetermined, its Iberian conception, with parallels in the offerers of the Cerro de los Santos (Hill of the Saints) as far as the foldings of its clothing, frontality and schematism and position of the feet. It has the archaism of the heads of Corral de Saus. Head with veil, dignity of a priest, and cloak remind the dama of Caudete (The Lady of Caudete), of the Villena Museum. Inspired in an Iberian piece of unknown origin, probable of the area bordering Murcia with Albacete. |
