Descripción: Saiti iberia nace. Saiti or saetabis, the present Jativa, coined tose aces in the Iberian series of the cavalryman, in this case lancer. The motif of the lancer, in other cases holder of a dart, palm , falx, is copied from the sycilian pieces; but, about the head of the obverse nothing is known: for some authors it is the same than the one which appears in many mints of the Hispania Citerior, even it is said that it could represent a common divinity of different towns such as the Iberians and the Celtiberians which settled Iberia in the Republican Roman time.

Descripción: A lot has been griten about the falcata, the most characteristic and particular weapon of the iberian warrior; some authors relate its singular shape to the Greek machaera or its Etruscan version, in any case its singularity and extreme efectivity in the body-to-body fight made this letal weapon famous from the Roman descriptions of its terrible effects. They are usually found next to the remains of its owner´s cremation, as an essential part of the warrior´s dowry, unused, which gives evidence of the narrow link between the weapon and its owner. This extraordinary archeological reproduction has been made in carbonic steel founded, of great strength and elasticity, and mechanized and with patina handmade. The corrugations, or “death”, correspond to Iberian models of the South, bastetanian and turdetanian tribes.

Descripción: Iberian head of the Serreta in Alcoy. In the contestanian sanctuary of the Serreta in Alcoy a great number of particular examples of Iberian offering coroplastics was found. In this case, there is small head kept in the Archeological Museum of Alicante, with characteristics completely native and simple manufacturing, representing maybe an offerer or a priestess with a conic tall tyara which held the cloak and large rodetes to keep the hair tied or maybe earrings. Centuries IV to I before Christ.

This representation is kept from the Old Greek Time, with two children who are in the sucking time, in the huge Megara Hyblaea, in the Roman under the advocation of the Mater Matuta, the one of Clusium follows a similar formal pattern.

Descripción: Iberian celebring. Extraordinary terracotta representing a character standing, covered with a cloak and a gown with complex folds, holding mitra and rodetes over his ears, who touches softly the medallion which hangs from his chest. The sex is undetermined, its Iberian conception, with parallels in the offerers of the Cerro de los Santos (Hill of the Saints) as far as the foldings of its clothing, frontality and schematism and position of the feet. It has the archaism of the heads of Corral de Saus. Head with veil, dignity of a priest, and cloak remind the dama of Caudete (The Lady of Caudete), of the Villena Museum. Inspired in an Iberian piece of unknown origin, probable of the area bordering Murcia with Albacete.

These perfume hobs are related to burial environments (necropolis of the Tosal de Manises, Alicante), and the original ones of terracotta don´t have marks of have been used to its function as hobs.

Descripción: Tanit des Cuyram or des Cuyeram. Centuries III or I before Christ. The Punic goddess is decorated with the sacred lotus between her closed wings. The face presents naturalism, with the hair untied on both sides and without any other ornament than the coiffeur with polos shape. Probable this sanctuary in cave was the most important cultural centre dedicated to Tanit in barcides Time. The coroplastics prototypes present singularity and the wealth of the bothros tell us about the important of the sacro character of the place.

Descripción: Two are the sanctuaries located in Ibiza. The one in Isla Plana and the cave des Cuyram. In the latter more than 600 small figures of terracotta appeared in a thick layer of ashes with remains of bones and two offering inscriptions to Tania in bronze. The typology is particular, different to the representations of the first sanctuary mentioned oro f the exvotos of the necropolis of Puig dels Molins. The goddess, with half of her body composed by folded wings, in a bell shape, with polos or calato as coiffeur, her hair untied, has in her breast the symbols of the Sun and the Moon over a caduceo, and above a small rose of six petals. Datable between the centuries III and I before Christ.

Descripción: Iberian Thymiaterion of Camarles. Vase of terracotta in woman bust shape . Century II before Christ. Archaeological Museum of Catalonia . The divinity, identified with Demeter or Tania, ornaments her wavy hair with bunches of grapes, leaves and two stylized birds; the indigen workshops copied the models of Southitalic perfume-burners, although its usage is not proved by combustion signs, but they seem to be related to home ritual usages or burial offerings according to the contexts where they have appeared. Very similar examples come from Olocau (Puntal del Llops) or from La Albufereta (necropolis of the Tossal).

Descripción: Perfume-burners of Benidorm. Some authors understand as pomegranates, symbols of Demeter-Tanit, the rounds motifs that frame two stylized birds on the forehead. On his head, the kalathos. Tossal de la Cala , in Benidorm, or the nechropoli of the Albufereta, are sites of the southern part of Iberian Peninsula where this type of remains is often found. Sometimes the scheme is much bigger, perhaps works of local imitation, like in Guardamar del Segura or Coimbra del Barranco Ancho, in Jumilla.

Descripción: Big Thymiaterion Tanit – Iberian perfume burners in terracotta. Century IV before Christ. Archeological Museum of Alicante. The necropoli of the Albufereta provided a high quantity of these glasses, called of Tanit when the likely representations of Demeter are related to fields with Carthaginian influence, such as the case of the Iberian Contestania. Its deposit in graves was supposed to be a request of help to go along with the soul of the dead person.
